BA 414 alternating tape is manufactured with NIKKALITE© multi-layer retroreflective film. Thanks to internal printing, 414 alternating stripes offer excellent resistance to weathering and washing. Vehicles equipped with NIKKALITE© alternating stripes are effectively visible day and night, contributing to the safety of people working on the road.

Cleaning

For maintenance, use clear water with a mild detergent such as Teepol at 5% of the total volume.

To avoid scratching the surface of the NIKKALITE Alternating Band, we recommend pre-washing with a low-pressure jet of pure water to remove dust. Then use a soft sponge for washing and wipe the surface only with a soft, non-aggressive cloth.

If using a high-pressure device, the jet must be circular and used at an angle of approximately 90°, at least one meter from the Alternating Band. The pressure must not exceed 75 bar, and the water temperature must not exceed 50°C.

Use

The decree of November 6, 1992 (J.O. of 01.30.93) makes mandatory the provisions of the decree of January 20, 1987 concerning the application of alternating lanes for all work and service vehicles or machines moving slowly or parked on the public highway.

These vehicles must be equipped as shown below:

  • At the front, there are 2 horizontal strips with a surface area of at least 0.16m². These strips are placed symmetrically in relation to the median longitudinal vertical plane and as continuously as possible.
  • Horizontal strips of at least 0.16m² are placed on each side.
  • At the rear of the vehicle, 2 vertical stripes and 2 horizontal stripes with a total surface area of at least 0.32m².
  • Horizontal strips must be less than 1.50m high.
